Rental Supply SA3 Heat Map

To calculate the estimated rental supply we used:

  • Total properties rented by real estate agents (G37 TENURE AND LANDLORD TYPE BY DWELLING STRUCTURE ) using R_RE_Agt_Total (Rented By Real Estate Agent Total) as our base. 
  • Rental tenure (%)
  • Building approvals (total residential dwellings 2021 – 2022)

Example:

  • Wollongong SA3.
  • 11,140 rentals
  • 33% rental tenure
  • 658 approvals
  • Estimated new rentals stock = 220
  • New rental stock as a percentage = 2%
